OPEN CALL FOR ART 2021
Curated by Robert Stenzel

miniMoCA is part of the PAC sculpture garden located onside the Patchogue Garden’s Club garden located on Terry Street & South Ocean Avenue, Patchogue.

miniMoCA is excited to announce an open call for art, and invites all members of the community to participate. The deadline to submit artwork for judging, and display in the first mini show, is Sunday, September 26, 2021 (Arts on Terry). We will continue to accept ongoing submissions for display in the miniMoCA after this date. All art will be considered.

OPEN CALL SUBMISSIONS
Think your miniature artwork is good enough to be included in our collection? It is! We encourage anyone who is interested to contribute. All ages, skill levels, and abilities are invited to participate. You don’t even have to consider yourself an artist, if you have a creative idea, we want to see it!

All work, including the frame if one is used, must be under the dimensions specified and ready for installation. To submit a work simply stop by the PAC/MoCA during normal gallery hours and drop your work off at the no contact kiosk.

Children’s art only: If the art was done by a person under 18, or still in High School, you may note the education level (Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, High School) to have it judged in that category if you wish. Social media contacts and information should be for the child’s parent or guardian for Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle School categories. Entries for the High School category should be labeled at the discretion of the parent or guardian.

All art submitted by September 26, 2021 will be considered for an award and the opening show, to be displayed in the miniMoCA installation in the sculpture garden starting October 5, 2021.

Please note, miniMoCA is not able to purchase any artworks. The miniMoCA project is based on the idea of a free exchange of art. All submissions to the project must be donated and all donations are final. Please consider that this is a family friendly installation, the curators reserve the right to reject any work considered inappropriate.

OPEN CALL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Wall art submissions must be under 5 inches in any dimension, we suggest 3 by 5 or smaller. Sculpture submissions must fit within a 2×2 inch footprint and must be under 8 inches tall. Once submitted these works will be permanently included in the museum’s collection, eligible for future exhibits and could be featured on our social media and website.

AWARD CATEGORIES
All artwork submitted by September 26, 2021 will be considered for an award in one of the following categories. The winner of each category will receive a swag bag, have their art displayed on the PAC/MoCA’s facebook page and instagram, and be featured in the first community show installed in the miniMoCA.

Awards will be given in the following categories:
Curator’s Choice Award
Best Portrait
Best Landscape
Best Abstract
Best Sculpture
Best use of Light
Best use of Color
Most Imaginative
