Mission Statement: The mission of Patchogue Arts Council, Inc. is to ambitiously educate, support, and elevate the arts- community. This includes artists at all stages of their careers as well as supporting the development of new works and public projects through exhibitions and innovative programming that emphasize community engagement while aiding in the revitalization and sustainability of the community. The Patchogue Arts Council, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose programming supports arts across all of Long Island.
MOCA L.I. Museum of Contemporary Arts Long Island (MoCA L.I.) is the exhibition space of the Patchogue Arts Council (PAC).By redefining PAC’s exhibition space from Gallery to Museum, opportunities for the community and the artists we serve grows exponentially. PAC has always been unconventional in comparison to other arts councils. Our primary focuses are to make current and contemporary art accessible to everyone and to serve artists across Long Island. We work to create inclusiveness in all of our opportunities for Long Island’s artistic communities. Through our programming, we support, promote, and encourage early, mid-career, and established artists working in all media and all walks of life.
Accessibility at Patchogue Arts Council
Patchogue Arts Council (PAC) believes the arts are for everyone. We are committed to making all of our programs, exhibitions, public art projects, performances, educational workshops, community events, and online content — welcoming and accessible to people of all abilities.
In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), PAC does not discriminate on the basis of disability in any of its programs, services, or activities. We work to ensure equal access for everyone who visits, participates in, or learns with us.
What we provide
Accessibility supports are built into our programs and are also available on request, including:
- Program materials in English and Spanish, with large-print versions on request
- Translation and interpretation, including American Sign Language (ASL), on request
- Step-free viewing for outdoor and projection-based programs such as MOCA L.I.ghts, with reserved parking at each event location
- Trained volunteers on-site at public events who can relay accommodation requests in real time to staff, public safety, and event security
- Assistive listening and other accommodations on request
How to request an accommodation
Please let us know how we can support your visit. We ask for at least two (2) weeks’ notice when possible so we can arrange services such as interpretation or alternative-format materials, but we will honor late requests to the fullest extent we can.
