Dystopia

Long Hall Gallery at Toast Coffeehouse
THE PATCHOGUE ARTS COUNCIL Presents

Dystopia
Curated by John Cino & Beth Giacummo
October 21 – November 21, 2017

The Patchogue Arts Council is proud to present Dystopia, a group exhibition featuring the artwork of Detlef E. Aderhold, Anu Annam, Krystle L. DiNicola, Lisa Harden-Stone, Gina Ienopoli, Jaynes Johnes, Linda Louis, Melissa Maiello, Andrea Manning, Tommy Mintz, Ben Owens, Michael Sauer, Mark Strodl, Syelios Stylianou, Chris Vivas, Joan Weiss and Nechana Winston. The exhibition is curated by John Cino & Beth Giacummo and is on view at Toast Coffeehouse in Patchogue from October 21 – November 21, 2017. The exhibition is on view during Toast’s hours of operation.

What:      Dystopia
When:     October 21 – November 21, 2017
Where:    Toast Coffeehouse, 46 E. Main St., Patchogue, NY 11772
Hours:     Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday – Sunday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

The theme of the exhibition is dystopia, an imagined place where everything is degraded, and is part of the A Toast to the Arts: Patchogue Arts Council Founders Gala. The two-tier event begins at the Patchogue Arts Gallery on Thursday, October 26, at 7:00 PM and moves across the street to Toast Coffeehouse at 8:30 PM. The theme of the Founders Gala is based on Metropolis, Fritz Lang’s 1927 epic German Expressionist sci-fi film drama. The Founders Gala is also based on the Cubism, Futurism and Bauhaus art movements. The gala will highlight PAC programing and festivities will include items available for auction, creative raffles, photo-op fun and wine paired with delectable bites. All work on exhibit is for sale with 50% of the proceeds will go to benefit the programming of the Patchogue Arts Council.
