NEW for 2022 • PAC Paint Showdown (PACPS) @ AOT 2022
Inspired by national painting competitions and drawing events that take place in large public venues, we have invited one of our returning street painters, Amanda Reilly to join us as our inaugural guest curator & MC for the first PACPS event. With the goal of promoting creativity & spontaneous collaboration through public art to the exciting atmosphere of the street art painting pavilion, this event will create a fun and competitive Collaboration between a selection of artists curated from an open call and paired in sets of 2 artists vs 2 artists. Artists are paired by our curator and will work together against the other team of artists on a large-scale panel. Viewers will vote for their favorite completed collaborative painting and a stipend will be awarded to all participating artists. A special prize package will be given to our two winning artists!
A specific set of rules will be set in place. Ex. Only black and white can be used and artists will have only 2.5 hours to create their large-scale collaborative works.
The curator will work to pair artists that are not from the same area and have complimentary styles.
