Experience the Arts of Long Island with us! - Since 2008

April 20, 2024 By PAC MoCA

Art Crossings Sponsorships

It is that time of year again when we look towards the future at what our next festival season holds – all the paths our organization can take and everyone who will join us for the ride. As we leave the station to embark on our 16th year, we are eager to see what’s in store for our season of Art Crossings.

Patchogue Arts Council’s Art Crossings season will feature free arts experiences out in the community that cross audiences with culturally significant artists and genres they would not otherwise intersect with; create opportunities to cross underrepresented artists with supporters they would not otherwise find; cross artists with other artists, creating something that would’ve never existed otherwise; and cross community members with businesses and areas of Downtown Patchogue they may not have visited before. This synthesis of arts, culture, and community beyond the walls of our gallery will inspire creative vibrancy and yield new understandings of one’s surroundings.

With this goal in mind, Art Crossings will see a variety of performances and installations throughout Downtown Patchogue that spotlight underrepresented artists and art forms in our community – fostering connections that transcend boundaries and inspire the birth of new, unprecedented collaborations. The season will include brand-new art happenings all around the Downtown area, introducing artists and art lovers to new corners of the Village. Along with exciting new additions to PAC’s programming, the season will still feature annual events and installations with this scope in mind such as Arts on Terry, the Sculpture Garden, and annual partnership with the Patchogue-Medford Library Mural Project.

First stop for the season will be a brand-new concert event called “Ladies Rock the Blues,” which will feature original women rock and blues artists – empowering them to shine in genres often dominated by male voices and introducing audiences to remarkable artists they might not otherwise have the chance to experience. Next stop will be an event called “Global Local,” which will combine traditional world music artists with popular local bands to expose audiences with different interests to genres they would not otherwise experience. This stop will lead into a two-day live performance art festival called “On the Spot” featuring world music and performance art happenings at 5 different locations all across the Village of Patchogue.

Every event within this season strives to bridge gaps, open minds, and celebrate the rich diversity of artistic expression that exists right here on Long Island and in our Village. With your support in making our upcoming festival season a reality, it is our hope that Art Crossings will stand as an intersection of people, arts, and cultures in Downtown Patchogue.

Our 2024 levels are inspired by some of the most beautiful railroad station stops across the U.S.!

Your support will be included in the promotion of this year’s
Art Crossings season including:

  • Annual Sculpture Garden on view July – October 2024
  • Annual Thematic Mural Project – July 2024 – May 2025
  • Arts Alley @ AA5 2024
  • Pride 2024
