MoCA L.I.ghts has begun to transform the Village of Patchogue into Long Island’s first open-air museum and make it the arts destination of 2020!
From November 5 – 8, 2020, the facades of contemporary and historic buildings, the PTPA Marquee, and PAC’s pop-up inflatable gallery screen will illuminate the Village with projected artworks, animation, and innovative site-specific media works created by local, national, and international artists. Businesses in the downtown area will become a vibrant backdrop to this immersive arts experience, lighting and lifting up spirits of all ages in ways Long Island has never before seen.
MoCA L.I.ghts programming includes a number of outdoor art experiences including Art on the Marquee, Artchitecture, Night Visions Pop-up Projected Gallery, New Visions exhibition at MoCA L.I. and on-site educational experiences offered in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Suffolk County & Marine Department.
The entire series of events is conceived for the public to enjoy safely on foot, by car, and online for free from October to December 2020.
It takes a Village and more…For MoCA L.I.ghts 2020 the Patchogue Arts Council is proud to partner with the Village of Patchogue, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, Patchogue BID, the Pat-Med Library, and Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Our on-site education programs are offered in collaboration with the Cornell Cooperative Suffolk County & Marine Department, and Eastern Suffolk BOCES Art in Education.
MoCA L.I.ghts is made possible with generous support from our lead sponsors: NYS Council for the Arts, Suffolk County, Long Island Community Foundation, Knapp Swezey Foundation, National Grid, and BNB Bank.
