The Patchogue Arts Council is proud to present Obscura, a solo exhibition featuring the artwork of Shawn Sullivan. Although Sullivan uses traditional methods and materials to construction his images, each one contains a modern sensibility that stems from his imaginative compositions. The exhibition is curated by Jay Schuck and is on view at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts from September 2 – October 28, 2018. The exhibition is open to the public during the theatre’s hours of operation.

Shawn Sullivan is a traditional realist painter from Long Island, NY. He received his BFA from C.W. Post and a Master’s Degree in Painting from Brooklyn College. Additionally, he studied for six years at the Long Island Academy of Fine Art and the Grand Central Academy of Art. His artwork has been exhibited nationwide with select exhibitions at Peto Museum (Island Heights, NJ); Greenhouse Gallery (San Antonio, TX); and the National Art League (Douglaston, NY).
