Photorealism and the 1960’s
The 1960’s are often considered one of the most creative decades of the 20th century with new movements springing up every year. Photorealism differed from earlier forms of realism in subject matter and presentation. It can be seen as the child of two very diverse movements, each born earlier in the decade, Minimalism and Pop art.
