Log Jam is an annual tradition of Memorial Day weekend at the Blue Point Brewery. The first Log Jam in 2010 was thrown by PAC’s current president, John Cino, in celebration of a newly created sculpture carved from a log floated down the Patchogue River the prior Memorial Day weekend. The event featured the Log Jam Orchestra, and a tradition of jamming on Memorial Day weekend was born. The event has been a fundraiser for PAC since Log Jam 2. Log Jam 5 is a free event. The Bull Moose Party is headlining this year. In true Log Jam fashion, the remainder of the bill includes an eclectic mix of local jam band standouts. Brady Wilkins, percussionist of Soundswell, will open with Drumlin, an all percussion ensemble. Next up will be Rogueswell, featuring Brady, Steve Mall, Keenan Boyle and Evan Hammer in an acoustic, pared down version of Soundswell. The Log Jam Orchestra, led by Jim Fleming of the Electrix, returns to perform acoustically. LOG JAM 5, May 24 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM at the Blue Point Brewery, 161 River Ave. in Patchogue!
