Special Workshop | Holbein Art Materials • Legion Paper • General Pencil Watermedia Workshop With Jim Minet
June 5 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM
This Holbein Art Materials • Legion Paper • General Pencil two hour workshop features Holbein’s various watermedia including Holbein Artists’ Watercolor, watercolor mediums, Artists’ Gouache, and Acrylic Gouache. Surfaces include Legion papers’ 100% cotton Stonehenge Aqua paper in varying weights, surface finishes, and colors — and Yupo 100% polypropylene paper. Drawing tools include General Pencil graphite and charcoal products, erasers, and brush cleaner. Attendees will enjoy a Brand Ambassador guided, hands-on, workshop where they will explore and experiment with and learn about all of the products described above. All levels from beginner to advanced artist are welcome and all materials will be provided.

About our workshop artist | Jim Minet’s studio is in New York on Long Island – where he works in acrylic, oil, and watercolor.
Originally educated at Long Island University / CW Post and graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Jim went on to become National Sales Manager for several corporations before starting his own business in Marketing, in the art materials industry.
Jim studied art at The Art Students League in Manhattan, NY and went on to teach art at the well-known cultural institution, The 92nd Street Y (92Y) in Manhattan up until 2017. Currently Jim teaches at The Nassau County Museum of Art’s “Manes Center” on Long Island NY, and Mills Pond Gallery (historical site and gallery) in Saint James, NY.
Jim has conducted numerous painting and painting materials demonstrations throughout the Eastern USA for brands such as Sennelier, Daniel Smith, Fabriano, Silver Brush, Masterpiece Canvas, and others. Jim Minet’s work has been exhibited or featured at, The Art Students League in Manhattan, The Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport Long Island, Manes Center in Roslyn NY, Firefly Gallery in Northport, NY, Mills Pond Gallery in St. James LI, Reboli Art Center in Stonybrook LI, Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY, Paintworks Magazine, and Newsday. Most recently he has been accepted into the renowned Salmagundi Club, one of the oldest art organizations in the U.S.
