My name is Amy Fox-Bisagni and I am thrilled to be showcasing some of my work.
I am a retired (2012) elementary school teacher who spent over 35 years teaching youngsters in the Levittown School District. I loved every bit of it and I do believe that teaching gave me the patience and dedication needed to be a photographer!
When I announced my retirement, people kept asking me what I was going to do… I have not retired from life; I have quite simply reinvented myself. I remain connected to education through tutoring, and I am involved in cinema, which has always been a passion of mine. But best of all, I have found time to see beauty in the simplest things, and I photograph them.
My medium is “Cellphonography”. All my photographs were taken with the camera on my cell phone, which also serves as my darkroom! As the saying goes, “The best camera is the one you have with you at the moment.” So, I take a picture and tweak it until it “pops” for me, just as one might tweak a recipe until it tastes just right.
So that is what you see before you. Enjoy…I hope my work makes you smile!
