My photography is essentially about visual space and often atmospheric, with cinematic, romantic or surreal overtones. It includes scenic landscapes and built environments here on Long Island, NY.

The American Landscape has always taken precedence in my mindset and I’ve driven cross country several times, but a few years ago on a trip back home, it dawned on me that my own back yard, Long Island, has always been a part of the vast American landscape. Though much of the vernacular culture and architecture familiar to me growing up is gone, some of the old flavor can still be found in places here and there alongside the new, and so my images are about sense of place, past and present Long Island.
